My Background

As part of an integrated wealth planning team, Danielle is a national consultant who advises affluent Canadians on philanthropy and strategic granting linked to new or existing Donor Advised Funds and Charitable Foundations. Danielle draws on 25+ years of experience within Canada’s charitable sector at regional and national levels to assist individuals, families, and business owners build a successful and lasting philanthropic legacy. In addition to this work Danielle collaborates with her peers to author thought leadership content on a variety of Specialized Wealth Planning topics for use by BMO Private Wealth financial professionals and their clients.

Prior to joining BMO Private Wealth, Danielle served as the President and CEO of the Ottawa Senators Foundation. During her 15 years leading National Hockey League outreach efforts, she and her team secured more than $80 million through various sponsorship and fundraising activations resulting in more than 1,200 grants to 304 different charities. Prior to her time at the Foundation, Danielle worked within a variety of marketing-communications, corporate community relations, and strategic sponsorship and granting roles at Volunteer Canada, Clarica/Sun Life Financial, and United Way. Danielle also currently serves as a part-time professor within the two-year Brand Management post-graduate certificate program at Algonquin College. Danielle is a respected opinion leader and community builder who continues to serve on volunteer boards and community-wide committees.
